The post assembly, which holds the projection head aloft, has an elbow joint that adjusts with the turn of a knob, operating the focus. The closed projection head is sleek and strong--in keeping with the unit as a whole. One of the things that sets this model apart from others is the inclusion of a backup projection lamp. A covered control panel allows you to change over to a second projection lamp if the one in use has burned out, which is a most reassuring feature (typical lifespan for the lamps required is about 130 hours).
